Meet Zoziscaw Szewczyk, Ideal Shield Fitter/Fabricator, otherwise known around Ideal as Chef. Chef has been a dedicated worker for Ideal Shield since 2005. On his daily routine he cuts, welds, and lays out various materials needed for each job. Before Chef came to the United States he grew up in Poland. Chef has two children named Kasia and Gosia. On Chef’s spare time you can find him either fishing or running.

On October 30th Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation’s Dream Makers’ Gala, took place at the Garden Theater in Detroit. The event featured a strolling dinner with a silent auction and raffle. An executive meeting with Youth Ambassador’s from Southwest Detroit and executives from organizations like General Motors, Marygrove College and Aisin kicked of the event. More…

Ideal Contracting Self-Performed Structural and Misc Steel Erection on 400,000 SF LOC for General Motors, subcontracted by Barton Malow. Local 25 Iron Workers performed over 14,500 hours on the project. The management team for the project consisted of Project Director Mark Braekevelt, Sr. Project Engineer Steve Piatt, Project Engineer Dave McCrary and Project Superintendent Tony Poma. More…

Ideal Interns go to the SHPE Conference

On Saturday, November 8th Ideal Group interns attended the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) career fair expo. Jacqueline Perez commented “I learned about different companies, both small and big. I also learned about different professions within companies. Ideal Setech Sponsors Thanksgiving Boxes

Last week Ideal Setech sponsored Thanksgiving boxes for the Hispanic Technology & Community Center of Greater Flint and Martus Luna Food Pantry. They are a non-profit organization formed through a partnership between Mott Community College and the American GI Forum. Fifty boxes were packed and given away to families in need in the Flint area to provide them with food for the holiday season.
